Cookie notice

Last updated: April 16, 2026. This page explains how ProPuz uses cookies and similar technologies. For broader privacy practices, see our privacy policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember settings, keep sessions secure, or understand how pages are used. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser.

How ProPuz uses cookies and storage

  • Essential operation. Some cookies or storage items are needed for basic functionality—for example keeping your session stable while you solve a puzzle or protecting forms where applicable.
  • Preferences. We may store your theme choice (light or dark mode) in localStorage so the site remembers your preference on return visits.
  • Cookie consent banner. When you accept or acknowledge our banner, we record that choice (often in localStorage) so we do not ask every time on the same device.
  • Optional analytics. If we enable analytics or similar tools in the future, we intend to use them only in line with our privacy policy and, where required, after you opt in through the banner or settings.

Third-party cookies

We may load fonts, CSS, or scripts from reputable CDNs (for example Bootstrap or Font Awesome). Those providers may set their own cookies or log requests according to their policies. You can review their documentation for details.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site data. If you block essential cookies, parts of ProPuz may not work as expected. Use your browser’s help menu for steps.

Seeded puzzle content

Word lists, themes, and similar seeded database content used by ProPuz are original to this project unless noted otherwise—authored or generated for ProPuz—not copied from third-party copyrighted puzzle banks.

Updates

If our use of cookies changes materially, we will update this notice and the “Last updated” date.
