How to play word search

Each puzzle lists words hidden in a square of letters. Your job is to select every word by dragging from its first letter to its last. When all words are found, the puzzle is complete.

Click and drag across adjacent letters in a straight line. Words may run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, forward or backward—if the letters line up, the direction is allowed.

Use Hint if you are stuck: it points toward an unsolved word. Validate checks your current highlights. Wrong selections can be cleared so you can try again.

Choosing size and theme

On the word search home, pick a grid size (larger grids take longer) and a theme (animals, nature, and more). Every puzzle is generated fresh when you start.
